In many rooftop applications, there is an increasing requirement to limit transmission of noise to living areas below. With conventional pedestals, the hard polypropylene composition in direct contact with both the substrate and the tiles or pavers does little to absorb the noise from pedestrian traffic. The Eterno range of pedestals have an advantage in this respect due to  their bicomponent heads which can reduce noise by up to 25dB.

But for further noise reduction, Eterno have developed pads consisting of  1/8″ thick high-density closed-cell foam insulation which when placed under the base of either SE or Maxi pedestals, can further reduce noise transmission by more than 25dB.
